Redmi TV X 2026: What makes it special?
The Chinese tech giant’s new Redmi TV X 2026 arrives with a huge 86-inch Mini LED display with 4K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, VRR support (Variable Refresh Rate), and up to 1200 nits of peak brightness. This is the first Redmi smart TV with a Mini LED panel, which also features 640 local dimming zones. Thanks to a new light sensor, the smart TV can automatically adjust the screen brightness and temperature by intelligently matching amvient lighting.

There is even a Filmmaker mode that brings accurate color reproduction and turning off certain features like AI upscaling, noise reduction, and MEMC smoothening. Redmi TV X 2026 is also great for a gaming setup as it offers native 4K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. So you can pair this with both your console or PC. Turning on the dedicated gaming mode can even boost the refresh rate to up to 288Hz refresh rate, but this maxes out the resolution to just 2560 x 1440.
Under the hood, the new smart TV packs the MediaTek MT9655, which is a quad core processor. THis is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other notable features include HyperOS 3 out of the box, Dolby Vision Gaming support, AMD FreeSync Premium, and 4ms response time in the gaming mode. The Redmi TV X 2026 was launched in China for 4,800 Yuan, which is around 674 US Dollars. To recall, this is the successor of Xiaomi’s Redmi TV X 2025 series.
